‘Blokes’ Day’, Mathoura Public School’s annual Father’s Day celebration, was no exception, with students of the school and their special blokes being treated to a full afternoon of festivities at Mathoura Bowling Club on Friday, September 2.
All attendees were treated to a delicious sit-down lunch, before sharing in an afternoon of fun and collaboration.
Friendly competition was put to the test in a high-stakes round of trivia — with not only some great prizes up for grabs, but also bragging rights.
Working side-by-side, students and their blokes put their knowledge to the test, battling against each other to be crowned the smartest team of the day.
Well done to the ‘Brainwaves’ who were victorious in what was a very tight competition.
The stunning greens of Mathoura Bowling Club were then filled with students and their special blokes for a social round of barefoot bowls.
This allowed for not only a fun and competitive game, but also lots of time for social connection and conversation.
It was fantastic watching the fun and excitement on the faces of those young and old.
This event was co-funded by National Recovery and Resilience Agency Grant.
Mathoura Public School is very grateful for the financial support it received enabling it to host such a worthwhile event for its students and the men of the school community.
