The move comes in wake of the move to stage three COVID-19 restrictions in regional Victoria.
With the new restrictions only allowing the public to leave the home for essential reasons, the service centres were not essential to operate.
Shire chief executive Declan Moore said other options had been made available to the community.
“We have phone and online services available for our community and we want to ensure people are not leaving their home when they don’t need to,” Mr Moore said.
“Considerable efforts have been, and continue to be, made by the government and its agencies, businesses and our community to suppress the virus and whilst no direction has been given to close, we consider closing supports this effort.”
“Our online services have been expanded since February 2019, with requests for service available online. The ability to lodge a request online addresses the need for the community to access services when it suits them.
“Our staff will remain accessible during business hours, by calling our call centre on 1300 666 535.”
