Coming into her first season at the helm of Rochester, newly-appointed A-grade coach Rachel Whipp is pleased with where her side sits as the season closes in.
With plenty of experience to lean on and talented youth coming through, Rochester has a promising group to work with.

“We have maintained our core senior group and we’ve got some good younger girls coming up too,” Whipp said.
“We have some top age 17s that will get the chance to play through the open grades to give them that senior experience.
“We’re definitely aiming for finals.”
Under-17 duo Teal Hocking and Charlee Roulston have been earmarked for further opportunities in A-grade, while best-and-fairest Ellie Cuttriss, Bridgette Holt and Maddie Egglestone will provide an experienced on-court presence.
Hocking and Kasey Conder will also bring Victorian Netball League experience after both were selected in the league earlier in the year.
“The goal is to maintain some consistency and play four quarters of netball. We can go out there and match it, but in the past we might just lapse for a quarter,’’ Whipp said.
“We’re just looking to maintain four-quarter efforts.”
