Australia’s oldest publicly-owned film festival, in conjunction with Moira Arts and Culture, hosted the screenings at Yarroweyah memorial hall on Saturday night.
The 12 films shown included festival winners and the festival director’s favourites.
There were a variety of genres including drama, comedy, horror, documentary, animation as well as music video.
“There was a good attendance with people coming from Cobram, Numurkah, Yarrawonga, Nathalia and Barooga,” MAC treasurer Lou Hamon said.
Audience members were asked to submit feedback via evaluations forms after the screen with film-goers commenting:
“Thank you for being this to our region, please continue to do so. Have enjoyed a night out, something different, will highly recommend.”
“An interesting mix of films.”
``Very different to what I imagined.”
There was also a screening at Numurkah town hall on Friday night, which was also well attended, with viewers labelling the event, “very different, a bit edgy,” and “thought provoking.”
