The Blues showcased their strengths with bat and ball in Saturday's 10-wicket demolition of Shepparton United at Princess Park.
Tim Braybon (4-28) led the pace attack as the Blues dismissed United for 155, which was followed with a dazzling performance with the bat from opener Dylan Grandell (95 not out).
Numurkah skipper Liam Gledhill was pleased with his side's ability to record an impressive win away from home.
“It was very pleasing to bowl them out for 155, especially on what we thought was a flat deck,” Gledhill said.
“Tim was bowling extremely well and he's started this season off superbly after putting in the hard yards.
“Matt (Cline) is looking super fit and is bowling quick, he bowled nicely in partnership with Tim.”
United elected to bat first on a flat pitch, but quickly found itself in dire straits at 3-14, thanks to some brilliant bowling from Braybon.
With help from fellow opener Cline (2-36), the damaging duo made life difficult for the home side.
United's Rehan Bari tried to work his way into the contest with a steady 30 and along with last week's top run-scorer Hugh Conway (24) combined for an important 50-run partnership.
But a ripping caught and bowled from Gledhill (2-31) broke that important United partnership.
Save for a handy 25 from Xavier Brown and 23 from Sam Nash late in the innings, United edged to 155.
But Numurkah openers Grandell and Josh Smith snuffed out any chance of a United upset.
The duo made light work of United's bowling stocks and chased down the total in 35.5 overs, with Grandell's 95 and Smith's 56 showcasing how brilliantly the pair batted.
“Dylan has really matured in the past 12 months with his batting,” Gledhill said.
“It was great to watch him yesterday, he struck the ball cleanly and formed a good partnership with Josh.
“He (Josh) grinds out the opening bowlers and helps set us up for big totals.
“I'm really glad for them that they were able to make some big runs.”
