Like Batman responds to Commissioner Gordon’s bat signal in the sky, local heroes GV Social Riders answered the call to make a little motorbike-lover’s day with a character-fuelled meet and greet.

Mooroopna mum Taylor Savige reached out to the community group of bikers via social media ahead of her son Loki’s second birthday to request a drive-by visit on Tuesday, August 5.
Assembling her troops to dress their helmets in fun and fluffy character covers for the event, group administrator Possum Green obliged, planning to extend the experience to more than just a waving pass by the group.
She said the members of GV Social Riders were dedicated to promoting positive mental health within the community and raising awareness about motorcycle safety on the roads.
“Acts of kindness like this not only bring joy to others, but also uplift and strengthen our team,” Ms Green said.
“Giving back is at the heart of what we do, and each smile we help create inspires us to keep riding with purpose.”
The group first drove by the Saviges’ home before dismounting at a nearby park for photos and chats with the birthday boy and his neighbours.

Ms Savige said Loki had been a little scared at first by the noise created by the convoy, but once the bikes were switched off, he relaxed into excitement as he got to check out the mixed assortment of bikes for the following 30 minutes.
To add a cherry on top of their visit, the riders also presented Loki with a gift bag adorned with the Dr Seuss quote, “If you can be anything in the world, be kind” for his birthday.
The gift included a motorcycle guardian bell, a GV Social Riders patch, a Batman keyring, affirmation stickers and a card, along with road safety items for his mum.
Ms Savige was “blown away” by all the “love, support and joy” the group brought to Loki’s special day.
“I just want to thank the community for coming together to celebrate a little boy,” she said.
