The whole-day event will see local services come together at The Salvation Army’s Shepparton church to provide free treatments and checks for attendees.
Whether it’s a haircut or beard trim, a dental, hearing, podiatry or general health check-up, or mental health check-in, it will be available.
Attendees will also be treated to a roast lunch as part of the Community Meal program run by the Salvation Army Corps.
“The Salvation Army in Shepparton remains committed to working alongside others to ensure that all people have the opportunity to thrive,” Shepparton Salvation Army Corps Major Scott Smallacombe said.
“Experience shows that when a community comes together with purpose, amazing things can be achieved.
“Working together — government, private and public housing sector, community organisations and community members — we can make a difference now and for generations to come.”
Registration is not required for the Care Day.
It will take place on Wednesday, August 6, at the Salvation Army Church on the corner of Nixon and Orr Sts, Shepparton, from 10am to 3pm.
