The 57-year-old man, identified in media reports as Zdravko Bilic, was found dead in the front yard of his Warana home on Queensland's Sunshine Coast on Monday night.
Queensland Police on Thursday charged a 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy with his murder.
Police allege a "disturbance" occurred at the home, resulting in Bilic sustaining fatal stab wounds.
If the teens are convicted of murder, they will serve mandatory life sentences under the Queensland government's controversial "adult crime, adult time" laws.
Bilic's body was found after his wife, skincare brand owner Gry Susann Tomte, had called a neighbour to check on her husband while she was out of town, as she had not heard from him.
The neighbour found his body and called emergency services, who rushed to the home.
Bilic was declared dead at the scene after he had suffered stab wounds to the stomach.
A crime scene was established while forensic teams scoured the property for days before charges were laid on Thursday.
Bilic has been remembered as a "well-loved" man with his death rocking the community, Detective Inspector Chris Toohey said earlier this week.
"He was a valued member of the community. Any death is terrible and it has shocked the neighbours," Det Toohey said.
"He is a community-minded person (who) was well loved in the area."
The teens are due to face Maroochydore Childrens Court later on Thursday.
