A Department of Education and Training spokesperson said students were "able" to wear clothing similar to the uniform, due to the "unexpected level of demand" for certain sizes.
“The college is also working with local suppliers to ensure all uniform sizes are available for students as soon as possible,” the spokesperson said.
The department expected suppliers would be able to fulfill all orders by the end of term one.
The college website said students could wear their PE uniform if they were unable to get their summer uniform.
Otherwise, they would be permitted to wear clothing similar to the uniform, such as a white shirt with no logo and dark pants, shorts or skirts.
