The musical legend is heading to town for a concert organised by Campaspe Shire to honour the 2023 Victorian Seniors Festival.
The concert will take place on Thursday, October 12, from 1.30pm and be followed by afternoon tea.
His timeless hits have spanned generations and the afternoon promises to be an extraordinary musical journey filled with nostalgia and entertainment.
In addition to his original hits, Lonnie will provide brilliant renditions of classics from Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, the Everly Brothers and many more.
Mayor Rob Amos said council encouraged all residents to invite their friends and family to this memorable event.
“We are delighted to bring the Seniors Concert featuring Lonnie Lee to our community,” Cr Amos said.
“This event is an acknowledgement of our deep appreciation for the wisdom and resilience our seniors bring to Campaspe Shire.”
Lonnie Lee’s illustrious career includes chart-topping hits such as I Found a New Love, Starlight Starbright and Yes Indeed I Do.
He’s renowned for his smooth vocals, captivating stage presence, and remarkable ability to connect with audiences of all ages.
“Lonnie Lee’s music has touched the hearts of Australians for generations, and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate our seniors than with his iconic hits. It’s a musical journey down memory lane that we’re excited to share,” Cr Amos said.
