Shepparton shivered through the coldest day on record at the current weather station at Shepparton airport in winter this June.
A mere 6.6ºC was recorded on June 21.
It was the coldest day since June 9, 1995, where 6.1ºC was recorded.
It was also ranked among the top 10 coldest days in Shepparton since 1962 — when including the data from the Lemnos weather station.
Overall June’s days were slightly colder than the historical average, with a mean temperature of 13.9ºC.

The night’s however, were slightly warmer than usual, with a mean of 5.5ºC.
New rain records were also recorded in June this year — with the 118mm of rain almost three times the historical average on 41.9mm.
July also saw what seemed to many like a rainy month.
There were more rainy days than usual — 15 of them — but the actual rainfall of 25.2mm was less than the historical average.
July days and nights were a little above average.
Better times came in August, however, with warmer days and nights than usual recorded.
The average daytime temperature for August this year was 16ºC — 1.1ºC more than the historical average.
The warmest days of the month came on August 28 and 29, where the mercury reached 20ºC.
The coldest day was the 12.8ºC recorded on August 16.
Night-time temperatures were a little above normal this year — with a mean of 4.4ºC up 0.6ºC on usual.
On contrast to much of the rest of winter though, rainfall was less than usual in August.
A total of 33.6mm was recorded for the month, with rain falling on 11 separate days.
