Forty eight teams will compete in six age divisions at this weekend’s Kyabram Netball Association annual tournament.

The Sunday, June 4 event is being held at the Northern Oval courts and will feature a guest appearance behind the barbecue by Federal Member for Nicholls Sam Birrell.
Also available off court will be Boost Juice, The Farmers Wife Mooving Barista, breakfast muffins and canteen food.
Kyabram will have representation in the under-11 and under-13 age groups, with two divisions for both of those age groups, along with under-15 and and under-17 age group divisions.
This season the association is competing in the Shepparton Netball Association, three teams will be involved in the nine and under competition, while four teams at under-11 level.
There are also Kyabram teams in the 13 years secondary and 13 primary divisions, the association having just under 100 players involved in netball this season.
KNA’s Courtney Baumann said there was an increased demand with the younger age groups, which she expected to flow on and eventually impact the higher age groups where the association does not have representation.
The nine KNA teams play on Saturday morning in the Shepparton Netball Association.
Kyabram Green started its 13 and under season with a victory against Bourchier St Hawks, while Kyabram Suns, Stars, Rockets and Comets are involved in the 11 and under competition.
Kyabram Astros, Meteors and Flames are the three teams involved in the nine and under competition.
Five Kyabram association teams contested the recent Echuca tournament, the representative teams competing against some of the strongest associations from throughout regional Victoria.
Round four of the Shepparton Netball Association was dedicated to Cancer Awareness Day, awards were presented to the best dressed coach, team and highest fundraising team.
Coach Croxford: Tanya Croxford is one of the Kyabram Netball Association coaches. She is in charge of the Comets team and went to great effort for the recent Cancer Council round.
