The couple held one of the three division one-winning entries and took home a total prize of $1,945,351.50.
“Mate, what a fantastic start to the day,” the man said.
“Last night, my wife checked our TattsLotto ticket. She couldn’t see or focus after she saw how much we had won. I didn’t know why until she gave me the ticket.
“I looked at the ticket and I started cheering, ‘$1.9 million, love! We won $1.9 million’.
“She said to me, ‘Is that wrong?’ and then we looked at the ticket three times to make sure.
“We went to bed after that, and I slept like a baby. It was one of the best sleeps I’ve ever had.
Their winning entry was bought at newsXpress Riverside News Lotto & Gifts, Riverside Plaza, Kialla.
Store owner Chris Georgopoulos said he could not be happier to have sold a winning entry so early in the year.

An Echuca horse racing duo have paired up to turn in a winner at Kilmore on Saturday afternoon.
Apprentice jockey Rose Hammond partnered the Rhys Archard-trained Limbering to an exciting win in the $27,000 Gratitude to Bev Carman Rating 58 Handicap (1600m).
Hammond displayed great composure over the concluding stages as she guided the five-year-old daughter of Ferlax to victory by a head from Under The Rock.
Limbering ($12) provided Hammond’s second career win and her first at a TAB program.
Her debut success came aboard Bon Shadow for her boss Gwenda Johnstone at Kerang on Boxing Day 2022.
Limbering, part-owned by Echuca Football Club senior coach Simon Maddox, took her career record to two wins from 20 starts.
Clubhouse upgrades for Hillston
The Hillston Golf Club will benefit from $196,890 from the latest round of the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund to design and construct new amenities including new bathroom facilities, disabled access and internal roads.
NSW Nationals Upper House MP Sam Farraway recently visited with the NSW Nationals candidate for Murray Peta Betts to announce the funding, and said that the grant has come just in time as the town recovers from flood waters.
“$196,890 from round f of the fund has come just in time to construct these new amenities following significant damage caused by floods in 2022,” he said.
“This is fantastic news for the golf club who will be able to bring more people through the doors this year, as well as local golfers and families looking to get out and explore the region.”
