The Jerilderie Flower Show will also feature craft, baking and produce entries, a stage full of colourful children’s artwork and a variety of interesting stalls to tempt the many visitors.
Children from the two Jerilderie primary schools and the preschool will provide entertainment before the presentation of awards.
Flower Show committee member Lorraine Comber said she is expecting some excellent floral displays on Friday, similar to last year.
‘‘Each year the flowers highlight the event,’’ Mrs Comber said.
‘‘The flowers look beautiful in the hall and all of the baking, produce and craft competitions complement a well rounded show.
‘‘We also have a massage therapist attending this year which is a first, so a lot of people are excited about that.’’
Mrs Comber said entries for the show will be accepted until Friday morning.
‘‘I welcome anyone to bring in their entry,’’ she said.
‘‘We don’t really know how many entries we are going to get until the very last minute, so there’s certainly still time.
‘‘We love that we get lots of entrants year-by-year, but we’re hoping to attract some new ones this year to keep the event growing.’’
The Flower Show will open at 8.30am Friday, and close at 3.30pm.
The day will also include the presentation of Jerilderie Tidy Towns Awards.
