Zaidee's proud dad and managing director of Zaidee's Rainbow Foundation, Allan Turner, said he hoped the community would run both events.
“Together we can all build this community event to save and improve the lives of many through organ and tissue donation awareness and education,” he said.
Mr Turner said the course was looking great and nearly 100 tickets were sold in the first day of sales on Thursday, July 1.
“There's going to be plenty of mud, plenty of water, and I'd encourage people to start training because it can be pretty gruelling!”
Zaidee's Rainbow Foundation was founded after Mr Turner's daughter, Zaidee, died from a brain aneurysm in 2004 and her organs were donated, saving seven lives.
Mr Turner said fundraising for the foundation had been severely impacted since March last year, and the Mad Cow Mud Run brought in important revenue for its work.
Now in its ninth year, the outdoor event is a slippery, quirky obstacle course for kids and adults, held at KidsTown, Mooroopna.
Participants may run as individuals or in teams of two or more.
To entice people to sign up for the fun physical challenge twice within about three months, medals will be split in two, and only mud runners who scramble through both challenges in October and February will win the ability to join the two halves to make a whole medal.
The medal has three small magnets that will hold both sides together.
A total of 1500 tickets are available for the spring run on October 2.
Early bird tickets are for sale until July 20 or until the allocation is exhausted. For more information, visit facebook.com/MadCowMudRun
