Cobram petrol theft

Police are appealing for witnesses after a petrol theft at a station in Cobram.

‘‘The male in these CCTV images, taken on August 15, remains unknown,’’ Cobram police Leading Senior Constable Rae said.

‘‘(He was) driving a dark green Commodore wagon... the vehicle was fitted with different number plates on the front and rear, both false.’’

Chess set found

Police located this chess set with a number of other personal items in bushland near Cobram on November 2.

‘‘Even though (the items were) destroyed by the offenders, (we) need establish the link between the property and an earlier theft,’’ police said.

Police are asking the victim of the crime to come froward to help with an ongoing investigation.

Man cautioned over cannabis

A Dhurringile man, 60, received a caution notice after police allege they found a quantity of cannabis in his vehicle last week.

‘‘He was intercepted at 7.25pm on Friday night... driving a black sedan... on River Road in Murchison,’’ Murchison police Leading Senior Constable Ricky Keast said.

‘‘(He was) issued with an official caution notice for the offence of possesing a drug of dependance.’’
