Attending The Shepparton News Pink Ribbon Brunch has become a tradition for Lucy Scott(third from the right) and her family and friends who gather to remember fondly Jacque Deitrich who died in 2012 from breast cancer. Ms Scott said her youngest daughter, Jacque, attended two of these events before she died and the group of 13 family and friends pledged to continue to come to the event every year. ‘‘Jacque was my youngest daughter and she was so vibrant, bubbly and outgoing she was a laugh a minute type of girl,’’ Ms Scott said.See more stories and photos from the Shepparton News Pink Ribbon Brunch on page 4 and 5.

Tickets for next month’s Shepparton News Pink Ribbon brunch go on sale on Monday morning.

Event organiser Karen Gill said tickets would be available to buy from 8.30am at The News’ office on the Goulburn Valley Hwy, Kialla.

‘‘Ticket sales are always extremely popular and we suggest you get to The News early on Monday morning,’’ she said.

The brunch will begin at 9.15am at Shepparton’s Eastbank Centre on Welsford St on Sunday, October 22.

As usual, the event will feature a massive raffle of 50 prizes, all donated by generous businesses and individuals.

Tickets for the brunch are $70 a person, with all proceeds from the brunch going to breast cancer research.

‘‘All the money raised goes to the National Breast Cancer Foundation but this year we’ve chosen to direct our funding to researcher Dr Paul Beavis,’’ Ms Gill said.

Dr Beavis will attend the event to talk about his research.

He will be joined by guest speaker Kylie Jones, who will talk about her personal story of breast cancer, and MC for the event Robyn Moor.

‘‘It’s always a fun event, it’s about having a fun morning for a serious cause,’’ Ms Gill said.

Tickets for a pre-brunch raffle are also available to buy, with five prizes donated by Stephens Jewellers.

Tickets for the pre-brunch raffle cost $5 each or three for $10 and are available at The News office, Coles Riverside Plaza, Bright Eyes Hairdressing and other participating businesses.

Tickets for the 11th annual Shepparton News Pink Ribbon Brunch will be on sale from 8.30am on Monday, September 11.

Tickets are available to buy from the Shepparton News office at 7940 Goulburn Valley Hwy, Kialla at a cost of $70 a person.
