A truck driver was caught behind the wheel allegedly almost three times the legal blood alcohol limit on Saturday night.
Seymour police intercepted a b-double truck driver on the Hume Fwy near Seymour about 6.50pm.
Police received reports of erratic driving by the truck driver on the northbound lanes of the freeway.
Police responded and attempted to intercept the driver and, after about 5km, the driver stopped.
The driver was breath tested and returned an evidentiary reading of 0.139 per cent. The NSW man, 64, is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving offences.
Seymour police Sergeant Geoff Shaw thanked motorists for their awareness during the incident.
‘‘We appreciate motorists taking the time to report the incident and thereby ensuring their own safety and the safety of other motorists,’’ Sgt Shaw said.
