Victorian under-18 squad members, Koby Cromie, Charlie Boswood, Jacob Brighton, Max Heaton-Harris and Nick Rowley emerged victorious at the Go Grocer 5aside tournament held at Benalla on Friday, September 27.
Out of 24 teams competing, the young guns were the only six-game winners with 103 points ahead of second-placed Shane Mathieson's five wins, 93.5 points team, who finished narrowly ahead of third-placed Rutherglen with 93 points.
The Benalla Bowls Club extends its gratitude to all volunteers who helped to make 120 bowlers enjoy their time with a meal and refreshments at the bar.
On Wednesday, September 25, jackpot triples were curtailed by rain after a few ends, so the players involved will be able to play this Wednesday at no cost.
