There were some fantastic games played in the weekend Campaspe Valley Bowls Association action, with all teams hoping to progress to finals.

Three out of four Deniliquin RSL teams have successfully made it to finals action.
In round 14 play on Saturday, there were wins at home for Division 4 against Echuca and Division 5 against Rich River to consolidate an appearance.
Division 2 went down against Moama away.
In midweek pennant on Friday, Division 2 went down by a single shot, away to Rich River, but have maintained a finals spot.
Division 2 (weekend):
Moama 67 were too strong for RSL 51, with RSL only winning on one rink.
Tony Tonta (s), with his team of Jacob Glenn, Cheryl Bradley, and Archie Webster were well paced.
They were down 10-15 after 13 ends, but the opposition ‘steamed’ home to take all but one of the remaining ends, and a further 12 shots, for a comprehensive victory.
Moama 27 def RSL 12.
Rod Reid (s), Wayne Bradley, Miro Peterman and Alan Hodges were down 0-9 after seven ends but fought back into the match to draw close at 14-16 with five ends remaining.
Moama blew the game apart with nine shots on two ends to run out 10 shot winners.
Moama 27 def RSL 17.
The combination of Craig Taylor (s), Ian McKenzie, Ian Chessells and Jenny Tonta had a comfortable win, taking 13 of the 21 ends on the day.
They led throughout, with skip McKenzie continuing his outstanding form.
He was strongly supported by all his bowlers, scoring consistently to never allow their opponents into the game.
RSL 22 def Moama 13.
Division 4:
RSL played Echuca at home.
RSL 50 def Echuca 32, with RSL winning on both rinks.
Bruce Clancy (s), Peter Liefting, Sandra Hill and Peter Thommers bowled consistently to lead throughout to secure a great victory,
RSL 24 def Echuca 14.
Jim Jenning’s team of Graeme Gordon, Brian Clancy and Ron Hulme led 26-7 after 16 ends and appeared set to coast home.
Echuca staged a great comeback, taking the last five ends and 11 shots to finish with a more respectable scoreline.
RSL 26 def Echuca 18.
Division 5:
RSL played Rich River at RSL.
RSL 45 def Rich River 37, winning on both rinks.
Ron Marchetti’s group of Neville Austin, Peter Todd and Callan Glenn had a real struggle in their match.
The scores were tied at 15-all after 19 ends, but RSL took the last two ends for a great win.
RSL 19 def Rich River 15.
Bruce Ferry (s), Robyn Ferry, James Rhook and Vic Whittaker’s team had a tight match against their opposition.
Leading comfortably at 23-7 after 14 ends, they were challenged sensationally by Echuca.
The visitors took six of the remaining seven ends, amassing 15 shots, including fours on the last two ends.
However, the early buffer proved invaluable for RSL, which won by four shots.

In the midweek pennant played on Friday, RSL went down by a single shot away to Rich River, winning on two rinks.
Rich River 56 def RSL 55.
Tony Tonta (s), Ian McKenzie, Cheryl Bradley and Glenys Chessells were seemingly out of contention after trailing 2-18 after nine ends.
They fought their way back into back the game, but found the leeway too great to challenge further.
Rich River 24 def RSL 15.
John Wilson (s), Craig Taylor, Miro Peterman and Lyn Hardcastle were engaged in a tense contest in their game.
They trailed 9-13 after 17 ends but closed out the match strongly, taking the final four ends and 11 shots for a great win.
RSL 20 def Rich River 13.
Wayne Bradley, Jenny Tonta (s), Ian Chessells and Joanne Chick trailed all day in their game but were always snapping on the heels of their opponents.
Down 18-19 on the penultimate end, they grabbed two shots for a thrilling single shot victory.
RSL 20 def Rich River 19.
Finals:
On Friday, Division 2 will play Mathoura at Mathoura in the elimination final of the Division 2 Midweek Pennant competition.
Both Division 4 and Division 5 weekend pennant sides have gained the double chance, and will play Saturday in the major semi-finals.
Division 4 will play Mathoura at Mathoura.
Division 5 will play Moama at Rich River.
