Shepparton Bulls claim one-point win over Brimbank to set up epic final-round battle

A sole point was all that separated Shepparton Bulls from their opponent at the weekend.

The Bulls prevailed 18-17 over Brimbank Bucks at Vibert Reserve on Saturday, rising to second on the Victorian Rugby Premiership ladder.

Smart kicking from Wayne Filoi proved the difference for the Bulls as Brimbank crossed the line three times to Shepparton’s two.

The laser-accurate back slotted one conversion and two penalties on the way to the win, while Sam Paulo was amongst the try scorers for Moronae Silaga’s charges.

Saturday’s narrow triumph moves the Bulls within three points of ladder leader Kiwi Hawthorn, setting up an epic last round clash against the side this weekend.
