One team is going to count itself unlucky after this weekend's final round as seven teams are vying for six spots in Cricket Shepparton's B-grade.
Numurkah kept its finals hopes alive with a resounding seven-wicket win over Pine Lodge.
The visitor won the toss and elected to bat first, but was bowled out for 106.
James Nugent top-scored with 30, while Harwinder Singh made 20.
Daniel Parnell starred for Numurkah with the ball, finishing with figures of 4-11 off nine, including four maidens.
In reply, Jahlan Lau saw Numurkah home with an unbeaten 54, which included three sixes.
Travis Waters was the most economical of the Pine Lodge bowlers, as he picked up 1-9 off six.
The win leaves Numurkah sitting outside the top-six by percentage only, but four points from top spot.
● Northerners missed out on giving them self a chance of making it after being hammered by Mooroopna.
The home side sent Mooroopna in and conceded 9-170.
The innings was set up by Ben Woods, who made 51 off 116 balls.
James Feeney ripped through the middle and lower order, recording four wickets for the hosts.
Northerners opener Preston Hall was the only batsman to make double figures (38) as regular wickets fell around him in the 62 all out scorecard.
Josh Preston conceded less than one run an over in Mooroopna's bowling innings as he finished with 3-7 off nine, which included six maidens.
Liam Leahy (3-4) also took three wickets in the 108-run win.
● Nathaniel Symes scored 105 in Euroa's 170-run win over Katandra.
Symes’ knock came off 133 balls and featured 15 fours and a six.
The next best scorer was Ashley Ellis, who scored 22 for the second week in a row.
Chasing 196 for victory, Katandra could only manage 25, with six batters making ducks.
Steve Sandford was the chief destroyer as he recorded figures of 4-7 off 5.4 overs.
● Shepparton United kept itself in the top-six with a four-wicket win against Waaia.
Waaia batted first and made 154, with three of the top four making 29 or more.
Sean Carey was the best of them with 41.
Brian Tacey (four wickets) and Steven Tate (three wickets) kept United in the game.
Despite losing three wickets on 35 and two on 57, United got home with four wickets in hand, thanks to Tacey, who backed up his bowling performance with 44 runs.
● Fifty-one from Glenn Walker was enough to keep Tatura at the top of table as it defeated Central Park-St Brendan's by three wickets.
Walker was supported by Peter (37) and Nicholas (22) Watt to reach 7-150.
Earlier in the day, Andrew Cowen made 45 for the Tigers before they were bowled out for 148 in the 45th over.
● In a high-scoring affair, Nagambie fell 16 runs short of causing an upset against Karramomus.
Paul Wickham set up the win for the Bloods by scoring 90 in the total of 5-228.
Nagambie's Dale Short tried to steal the show, but was dismissed on 99 in the chase, which finished on 4-212 and included an opening partnership between Short and James Auld of 142.
● Kyabram rounded out the penultimate round of the season winning by eight wickets against Old Students.
Old Students batted first and were bowled out for 87, despite Stuart Rigby making 33 at the top of the order.
Connor Hawes picked up 4-5 off nine for Kyabram.
Hawes also finished not out in the chase, top-scoring with 29 off 39 deliveries as Kyabram finished on 2-91.
