Students’ Aaron Plant and Tim Hunter performed well in the opening matches to have their side in control, with the Bloods’ women clawing the game back through wins to Marie Levett-Hall, Romney Cresswell and Lisa Bell.
Wins to Aaron and Sally Plant, along with Fiona and Same Wieland, earned Students the precious points.
McEwen Reserve bested St Brendan’s to hold firm in second, recording a 7-50 to 2-26 victory in that encounter.
Justin Hunter, Ben Ladson and Greg Comer were at their usual best to collect wins in the first three rubbers, with Lyn Gibbs and Kerry Walker also clinching a dominant 6-2 win.

In the final pennant match, Shepparton North iced Central Park, affirming its position as the juggernaut of pennant.

Murchison and Bunbartha battled it out — the former staying in the hunt with a 5-42 to 4-41 win.
Tim Linton, Jake Ewart and Andrew Richardson were particularly impressive, recording 6-0 blowouts in their doubles duels.

In A2, a narrow six-set victory highlighted the action of the round; with Park coming away with points over Shepparton North.
Andrew Fletcher and Reece Dowell played well to notch a 6-0 victory, before Amber Watson and Kate Preston levelled the playing field with a blowout in their doubles match-up.
A 6-2 triumph to Leigh Dohrman and Preston in round nine was enough to gift Central Park the 5-38 to 4-32 win.
Karramomus picked up a win over McEwen Reserve to remain four points clear at the top, while St Andrew’s dominated in its match against Old Students, 7-47 to 2-29 the final score.
