Energy was high as the Berrigan seniors came out of the rooms, led by club stalwart Toby Dalgliesh breaking through a banner to celebrate his 150th senior game for the club.
The match between the two sides started off scrappy as both teams struggled to acclimatise to conditions, but the Saints staked their claim on the game early, jumping to a 27 point lead at the half-time break.
After half-time is where Berrigan really asserted their dominance as their forward 50 entries cleaned up, and they piled on 10 goals to one for the quarter.
The fourth continued the same with the Saints flexing their muscles proving too strong for Katunga, finishing the game with an 88 point win.
Keith Tallent dominated for the Saints, kicking seven goals for the match, showcasing his ability to kick goals from both crumbing packs and taking set shots.
Jake Dalgliesh was back to his best for the Saints, taking countless intercept marks as well as metres gained forward numbers being off the charts.
Fraser Haintz was welcomed back to the seniors with open arms. He played with his heart on his sleeve all game, no matter whether he was in the backline or rolling through the middle.
Toby Dalgliesh certainly pleased the crowd as he backed up the 150th celebrations with a terrific performance to go with it.
A great win for the Saints that's holding them in great stead nearing finals.

Reserves
The Berrigan Saints Reserves are back in the winner’s book this week after they took down Katunga at home.
The wind played a massive factor in this game.
The Saints’ ability to stop Katunga when it was to their advantage and then to capitalise when blowing the Saints’ way ultimately won them the game.
This was highlighted in the last quarter when Berrigan scored three goals to none, securing them the 22 point win.
Final Score: Berrigan 6.8 (44) def Katunga 3.4 (22).
Steve Morgan was terrific for the Saints up forward, taking big contested marks and nailing three goals of his own.
Jacko Clancy starred up forward as well, using his leg speed to his advantage, adding two majors.
Jack Walls was also terrific this week, using his strength and athleticism to will the Saints forward.
A big win for the Berrigan reserves, keeping their finals hopes alive.
