The club was represented by Division 3 and Division 4b in the Campaspe Area Pennant competition on Saturday.
One won and the other team lost by one shot. However, due to finishing in top two positions on the premiership ladder, Lockington will have a second chance.
Division 3 defeated top of the ladder Moama 66-57 at Echuca Bowling Club in a thriller after leading 35-12 across the board in the early stages of the contest.
Moama fought their way back into the match with some strong performances from the Barry Cutriss rink to draw level on 38-all after 32 ends.
The games levelled out with all rinks going end-for-end until the 48th end with scores locked up at 48-all.
The Philip Cunnington rink of Andrew Harris, John van den Bosch and Ian Johnson were able to control their match to win their rink against the Tony Hawley four, 23-12.
Leanne McInnes (s), Stephen Peter, Russell Shawcross and Ken Main lost the game against Roy Jackson 20-21 in a close affair while Graham Turner (s), Jim Harris, Steve Pavone and Ray Hanson lost another close game 23-24.
The club is proud to have a team in the grand final on March 26.

On Tuesday evening, there was a smaller field for the Sport/Barefoot bowls on a chilly night.
Natasha Egan and Jeff Carnie (s) 2 wins plus 12 shots were the winners ahead of Ryan Ahn and John Whiteside (s) 2 wins +9 shots. This event will continue while the weather permits.
Members have travelled far and wide to local tournaments during the past week. Several bowlers played the Rochester Bowls Club Crackerjack Fours on Tuesday evening and enjoyed the fine hospitality and greens.
Bill Musgrove, Brian Kinnane and Ken Main (s) competed in the two-bowl triples at Elmore Bowling Club on Thursday and won all three games, only to be relegated to third place when there were five three-game winners. On the previous Sunday three teams journeyed to Calivil Bowling Club for the pairs tournament. Alan Kauffman and Russell Shawcross (s) bowled really well to win the runners-up trophies. New members John Whiteside and John Fisher (s) displayed a bit of talent to win the odd game. Brian Kinnane and Bill Musgrove (s) had the tougher draw and managed a fruit salad: win-loss-draw.
The Friday evening barbecue and practice session was well attended, with Don Isgro being the absent winner – no chocolates.
