The home side posted 9-196, with Jagjeevanjeet Singh compiling 73.
The wickets were shared around for Murchison with two bowlers taking two wickets each.
In response, the bottom-side made a good fist of it, but fell 24 runs short, bowled out for 170.

● Euroa consolidated its position in the finals race by knocking off Tatura by 50 runs.
The home side was bowled out for 146 with captain Lincoln McKernan leading the way with 34 at the top of the order.
Tatura's John Kealey took 4-12.
Despite the modest total, Euroa's bowlers stood up and bowled Tatura out for 96.
John Wilson and Brendan Allen both took three wickets for Euroa.

● You'd think a match between first and third at this stage of the season would be the match of the round and Invergordon and Mooroopna didn't disappoint.
Invergordon batted first and made 5-174, thanks to Harley Green's 59 and Aaryn Cormican's 50.
Michael Van Dorsser gave his side a chance in the chase as he made 77.
Despite some late order hitting by Travis Gillin, who made 26, Mooroopna fell two runs short.
