Youth may be the key to unlocking the true potential within Rennie’s A-grade netball side, as the Hoppers prepare for a fresh start in their 2022 Picola District Netball League journey.
Rennie’s Team of the Decade goal shooter Paula Mifka returns to guide the side this year after a stint at Barooga, bringing with her an extensive pedigree of junior coaching experience.
This can only work in her favour this season, as she looks to impart her knowledge on a Rennie group bursting at the seams with young talent.
Brylee McCarty has been a revelation throughout her junior career at the Hoppers and was duly honoured when she was named on the Team of the Decade interchange last year.
She’s one her coach will have an eye on this season, as Mifka looks to usher in and nurture an exciting crop of Rennie young guns.
“We’ve got a lot of juniors coming through the ranks,” Mifka said.
“Last year our A-grade was almost a whole squad of juniors, they stepped up and held the club together which I’m really proud of.”
