2021 FINISH: 5TH (9-5)

Building on last year’s fifth-placed finish will be the goal for Waaia this year, with the Bombers improving on last year’s squad.

Co-coaches Milly Foster and Rosie Arnel are at the helm, with Foster outlining the team’s goals for the year.

“Obviously our goal and everyone’s goal is to make finals and win a flag, but I think we just want to build on the team and the season we had,” Foster said.

“We had quite a few injuries last year and pregnancies and stuff like that, so this year I guess we’re hoping to build on what we had last year and hopefully we’ve got an uninterrupted season too, so it makes it a bit easier.”

The Bombers will be one to watch this season, with an improvement on last year’s fifth-placed squad a scary prospect for opposing sides.
