A reduced fixture list over the Easter weekend sees the majority of Picola District Netball League clubs enjoying the bye, but for Rennie and Katamatite, it’s all systems go.
The two sides have enjoyed strong starts to their respective seasons after each having a bye, and Thursday night’s match-up serves as the perfect opportunity to continue early momentum.
Rennie looked in fine early form in round one, accounting for Mathoura 66 goals to 27, while Katamatite only just went down to Jerilderie in round two, 52-44.
Paula Mifka’s side fired on all cylinders in the season opener, with young gun Brylee McCarty a particular standout across the court.
Eliza York, Brooke McDougall and Ella Rhodes also enjoyed fantastic games.
Katamatite, after enjoying an opening round bye, locked horns with Jerilderie in round two and fought hard to go down by only eight goals.
Tess Lawless took out best-on-court and will hope to be at her best on Thursday night in her side’s visit to Hoppers’ home turf.
The other PDL netball fixture scheduled for this weekend between Tocumwal and Berrigan won’t go ahead, with Berrigan unable to field an A-grade netball side.
The match between Rennie and Katamatite will commence on Thursday night at 7.25pm.
