The all-conquering Bombers start the run to the Goulburn Valley League finals this Saturday and with games against Tatura, Benalla and Shepparton United immediately on their radar, they could stretch their winning sequence to 15 before tackling finals and flag hopefuls Mansfield, Echuca and Shepparton Swans in the last three home and away games.
The tantalising question Kyabram faces now is who will be available for the run to the finals?
In their last game, the Bombers destroyed Seymour without Liam Ogden, Coby McCarthy, Anthony Depasquale, Nic Jephson and Tom Burnett.
Ogden has been overseas and has not played at all this season, but is expected to return for the Benalla game.
He has to play three games to qualify for finals.
Prize recruit McCarthy has also not played all season because of a persistent groin injury, but is ready to find out whether he can get a late berth in this Kyabram team.
He was to undertake a full training session last (Tuesday) night to be in line for selection for his much-anticipated debut this Saturday against Tatura at Kyabram.
Jephson is one of the club’s rising stars, but has also missed most of the season with an injury, but is qualified to play finals.
His form in the remaining games will decide that.
Depasquale is playing with VFL club Werribee which has already refused to let him return to his old club. But he played the first three games with Kyabram.
But if Werribee doesn’t make the finals he has to play five games with Kyabram in the home and away season and not more than 12 with Werribee to be eligible for finals.
Ogden and McCarthy have to play three games to be eligible to play finals, while Jephson is already qualified.
Also in the picture for promotion is utility Tom Burnett, who played in the reserves in the last game when returning from injury.
