B Grade took to the court against top of the table Tongala at home. The team knew what a challenge this would be against the undefeated opponent.
From the start, the game was strongly contested. Freya and Milla were teaming up in defence with Cara controlling the mid court at WD.
All the team were playing well with Emma -Jane and Tayla going goal for goal with Tongala.
At the end of the first, a goal separated the two teams.
The game was watched by a large crowd that were enjoying the contest with the midcourt of Georgia, Anna, Alex and Sophia showing their fitness as the ball went end to end.
But unfortunately the Lions were 10 goals down at halftime.
Enter Mikyah into goals showing depth the team possesses.
Shani the coach using the rolling subs to try and pinback the Tongala lead.
Mulwala played to a high standard not giving up and will be ready for the next time they play Tongala.

C Grade
Mulwala 38 def by Tongala 73.
Not the result the C Grade girls wanted, even though Tongala said they haven’t had anyone score this well against them by half time, of any of their games.
A credit to the Lions’ girls for never giving up. But back to the courts to train hard this week.
Awards: Addye, Piper and Steph.

This week’s game? Let’s just say the 15s got knocked down harder than someone trying to take a selfie mid-centre pass.
But guess what? They didn’t stay down. The girls bounced back like a missed goal on a windy day and kept pushing right to the final whistle.
Sure, the scoreboard didn’t exactly serve the Lionesses a win… but the hustle? The teamwork? The effort? 10/10, no notes.
There were passes sharper than a TikTok clapback and defence tighter than your phone storage when trying to update Snapchat.
The girls are learning, growing, and not just here to show up. They’re here to build a team that backs each other, adapts, and never gives up.
They get knocked down, but they get up again, like a level 10 crash out that refused to be ghosted by the scoreboard.
