Merrigum Football Netball Club and Tatura Football Netball Club are seeking expressions of interest for women’s and girls football.
Merrigum issued a social media post last week as it plans to feature a senior women’s outfit in 2027 or 2028 in the Goulburn Murray Women’s and Girls League.
Looking to gauge the numbers of interest, the Bulldogs stated to those sitting on the fence that expressing a desire does not fully commit people to play, rather will allow those thinking about playing women’s football to be provided with pre-season information and training dates.
The Bulldogs are searching for anyone of interest, including those new to the sport who have never tied the boot laces before.

At another Bulldogs kennel, Tatura is hoping to further it’s female football pathway.
Already featuring a senior women’s team in the GMWGL, the Bulldogs have opened up expressions of interest for an under-18s youth girls side in 2027.
Tatura is seeking girls born between years 2009 and 2012 and likewise to Merrigum, any skill level is welcomed.
