A woman was flown to a Melbourne hospital in a critical condition after an incident in Shepparton on Monday, August 17.
Police said emergency services were called to the Guthrie St scene following reports of a fire and concerns for a woman threatening self-harm about 12.20pm.
Police attended and located a woman who was critically injured.
She was airlifted by air ambulance to a Melbourne hospital.
Police said detectives were investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, which is not believed to involve another party.
Nearby Kirsten St was closed until about 8pm on Monday, with police investigating at the scene until then.
