Murchison-Toolamba’s Jai Utiger was sent to the tribunal for intentionally striking a Shepparton East opponent, graded high contact and low impact, and handed a one-match penalty after his hearing on Wednesday night.
He will miss the Grasshoppers’ match with Merrigum on Sunday.
Merrigum’s Zayne Gilbert will also miss the clash after he had a two-match sanction reduced to one with an early guilty plea.
Gilbert engaged in rough conduct in the Bulldogs’ loss to Undera, regarded as high contact with low impact.
In last Sunday’s fixture between Longwood and Avenel, one Redleg and one Swan were booked and will miss time for illegal acts in their senior contest.
Longwood’s Mitchell Hunter made an early guilty plea to downgrade his ban from two weeks to one after intentionally striking, the body contact deemed medium impact.
Avenel’s Zac Hill has also reduced an initial two-match ban to one week after being reported for head butting an opponent or making forceful contact to an opponent using the head.
The intentional conduct, high contact and low impact charge will see Hill miss Avenel’s round 14 game against Undera as the Swans have a round 13 bye.
