The event was held on Tuesday, May 6 at Sunbury Bowls Club and after making it through the Regional Finals, a number of Goulburn Murray Devils represented their schools in the State Final on Monday, May 12.
Charlie and Henry Boswood represented St Augustine's College Kyabram in the Senior Secondary event, while Luke Dunn represented Cobram Secondary College and Jacob Cartwright, Liam McInnes and James McKeown represented Kyabram P-12 College in the Junior Secondary Event.
After sectional play the Kyabram P-12 College team made it through to the semi-final.
In a dominant display, it won its way through to the grand final.
After 10 ends and the lead changing throughout the game, it managed to take the win and the School Sport Victoria Junior Secondary State Championship.
This was made even more special as it was back-to-back wins with the same team from last year.
Now the boys move into the Senior Secondary division.
Throughout the day’s event the team was nominated for the Spirit of Sport award and won that as well.
Well done team and thanks to coach Paul McInnes and supporters and parents for the successful few months.
