Mooroopna coach Luke Zanchetta
“We’re all pretty keen to get out there and have a crack in what is a big assignment against the top team. We’ll find out where we’re at. They’re strong across the board and I think that whichever side is able to capitalise with the bat will win.
“The main one (danger player) is clearly Tyler Larkin. He had a day out against us last time we played them and when someone of his quality gets into that sort of form you’re sort of powerless against them.
“A real focus of ours has been on improving our fielding. It’s something we pride ourselves on and we’ve been a bit off lately.”
Central Park-St Brendan’s coach Tyler Larkin
“You always get yourself up for the big ones. They’ve been the benchmark for the past couple of seasons now and they’re probably the best bowling attack in the comp.
“You look at their side and they’re all contributing, which is similar to us, they haven’t had one or two to rely on each week and we want to be like that, we want to be a well-rounded team.
“As always this time of the year we’ve got a couple out. Jarrod Wakeling and Ramadan Yze are still away on holidays and we’ll reward some of the boys in B-grade who have been going well.”
Katandra coach Ben Clurey
“Just looking to keep that positive feeling going. We understand that we've probably had an easier first half of the draw than the second half, so we'll find out where we're at in six or eight weeks’ time, but if we can keep playing positive cricket and making runs that's our main goal.
“From all reports I think ‘Riordo’ (Andrew Riordan) will play this week, so he'll be a handy inclusion. Ryleigh Shannon has gone overseas, so he'll be an out for the rest of the year.”
Euroa coach Andrew Squires
“Games against teams like United are ones that we pencil in at the start of the year to have a real red-hot crack at, I'm sure they're doing the exact same at their end.
“So traditionally the last couple of years they've always gone down to the wire, they're great games for our young blokes to play in and learn from, so we're approaching this week with a lot of optimism and a lot of motivation, so hopefully it's going to be a beautiful day and going to be a great game of cricket for both teams.”
Numurkah stand-in captain Matt Cline
“We've got a couple of outs this week, Michael Eckard and Dylan Grandell, so it's going to be a nice challenge for us, but I back our squad in.
“We've got a couple of blokes in B-grade that will come up and are more than capable of filling the job of those boys, (which) are big shoes to fill, but we're looking all right.
“Everyone's fit and fresh and ready to go.”
