Kyabram's netballers are never down for long.
After a down season in 2018 and an injury-ravaged year in 2019, the group is back as fresh as ever and looking to return to the finals of Goulburn Valley League.
Coach Sara Kent said the year off, while a challenge for the personnel of her team, had allowed the opportunity to fully recover and make another run at the flag.
“It was tough being away,” Kent said.
“We are a really close group of players, so being away from each other was tough for the year, but now everyone has come back feeling fresh and ready to go.”
Being a regular premiership contender in the past, the Bombers are now looking at their desire to return to that status.
“We obviously will set out to play finals again this year,” she said.
“We have that discussion as a team as to what our goals are, not just in A-grade, but across the entire club, and that's extending beyond the GVL with our team of younger players in a different competition.
“But we will set ourselves a high goal and aim to play our best netball throughout the season and, hopefully, it takes us back to the finals.”
