Scorching hot bowls contested throughout the Goulburn Valley Playing Area landscape perfectly contrasted the cool and overcast weather on Saturday.

Shepparton Golf earned its first win of the season in division two, holding firm at home to notch a 15-112 to 3-74 result against Tatura-Hill Top.

Kyabram shoots to the top of the ladder after ousting Nagambie 16-101 to 2-84, while Seymour stays hot on the Bombers’ heels after a 12-shot victory against Shepparton Park.

East Shepparton also found winning form, trumping Tallygaroopna 15-97 to 3-87.

In division three, Mooroopna recorded a stellar result on the road to Avenel.

Rob Johnson skipped the visitor to a 34-14 rink two triumph, the crowning achievement during Mooroopna’s 16-114 to 2-82 win.

Other matches had Kyabram move past Shepparton Golf 14-99 to 4-87, Rushworth overpower Shepparton Park 16-92 to 2-80 and Seymour VRI pull away from the pack after knocking over Mooroopna Golf 14-98 to 4-84.

Rolling through the grades, Eildon, Alexandra and Tallygaroopna scalped wins in division four, while Seymour and Dookie’s match ended in a stalemate.

Lastly, division five results went the way of Murchison, Seymour VRI and Colbinabbin.
