The Goulburn Valley League side self-reported the breach in March this year after becoming aware that approximately $4000 provided to 2024 playing coach Ryan Pendlebury was then passed on as a sign-on bonus to a player.
The club’s executive committee was not aware of these funds and so did not declare them as part of CCSP requirements.
The Magpies also noted in their statement the player was no longer with the club, playing only between rounds 1 through 18 in 2024.
The disciplinary committee favoured that the self-report occurred immediately once the undeclared funds were discovered and highlighted the club’s prior good record of management processes relating to player payments and salary cap requirements.
Euroa received two reprimands and one fine of $1,000 from the three charges handed down.
The Magpies finished sixth on the ladder in 2024 with a record of nine wins and nine losses and lost their elimination final to Rochester.
In 2025, Euroa sits eighth after 14 rounds with four wins and 10 losses.
