Peppin Planners came in fourth with a respectable 69 points.
Eagles joint captains John Henderson and Sarah Metcalfe pointed out that they had managed to have a very stable team over nine weeks.
Team members commented that they were always aware of who was drawn to play each week well in advance, and that there were no late surprises.
Henderson also pointed out that Rob Brown had been a three set winner in each of the first 4 rounds.
Club president Clive Gow announced the best three set winners for individuals out of all the 100 players at Wednesday’s play.
Best weekly average went to Scott Tritton, with an average of 17.5 games each week out of a possible 18 games.
Ben Milliken and Jamie Chadderton came in equal second, with an average of 17 games per week.
Among the ladies, Lucy Bergmeier had an outstanding comp winning 17 games on average.
Gow said it is encouraging to see that 65 players have already registered for the next competition.
It is due to get started on Wednesday, February 9 and end a week before Easter.
While registrations are still open, they are expected to be capped at 100.
The club will remain open during the festive period, and visitors are welcome to play on either the hard courts or the lawn courts.
Although there will be a period when the lawn courts will be closed for scarifying and fertilising.
Arrangements can be made to play under the lights on the hard courts with the caretakers.
