Crossman, 16, entered the high-level ITF Junior tournament as the 10th seed, and delivered a powerful display in her run to the final.
Without dropping a set, Crossman overcame fifth seed Bridget Mihulka (6-3, 6-3) and second seed Gabby Gregg (6-3, 6-3) en-route to the decider, where she met number one seed Lily Taylor.
Despite her solid performance, Crossman was unable to overcome Taylor, who is ranked inside the top-50 juniors internationally, falling 4-6, 4-6.
The result also improves the rising star’s ITF Junior ranking to a career-high 326, having earned 140 ranking points for her efforts.
In a rich vein of form, Crossman will look to go one better this week as she competes in the New South Wales Junior International, starting her singles and doubles campaign tomorrow.
