Billington, a member of last season’s historic premier men’s premiership, chipped in with 38 runs at the top of the order for Prahran.
The talented right-hander, who spent summers honing his craft for Old Students and Karramomus, crunched five boundaries from his 53 deliveries.
It was an important 80-run opening partnership between Billington and teammate Nick Blaich, as the pair gave its outfit the perfect platform for the rest of the innings.
The True Blues were able to finish on 5-271 from 50 overs.
It was a nervous second innings for Prahran.
Dandenong loomed large for the entirety of its run chase, but settled on 6-265.
The result keeps Billington and his Prahran teammates within striking distance of the top eight.
Meanwhile, Greenvale Kangaroos suffered a thrilling two-wicket loss to Richmond.
Former Tatura captain Michael Archer clinched 1-31 for Greenvale as Richmond reached the target of 153 with eight wickets down in the 40th over.
Archer’s efforts backed up his standout performance in round nine.
The talented leg-spinner collected impressive figures of 4-33 in the loss to Frankston.
Elsewhere, Geelong duo Josh McDonald and Josh Larkin were on the losing end of things in their match against Fitzroy-Doncaster.
McDonald, a Karramomus product, crunched 42 from 47 deliveries as Geelong posted 8-236.
But a century from Australian star Glenn Maxwell steered the combined outfit to victory by three wickets.
And Moama’s Todd Murphy starred with 3-34 for St Kilda during its seven-wicket win over Northcote.
Lastly, Central Park-St Brendan’s ace Gemma Boyd shone for Carlton in women’s premier seconds action.
Boyd helped bowl her side to victory over Essendon-Maribyrnong Park, taking superb figures of 3-15 off four overs.
