After five weeks away from the court, Colbinabbin returned fired up to deliver a strong opening quarter, though it was ultimately the third quarter where the Bloods pulled away.
With the attacking end feeding smoothly into the ring and defence working hard, the dynamic Myers sisters - Zara and Tanzin - toiled all game against a polished Elmore attack, including sharp-shooter Gabe Richards, to turn over the ball and transition the ball down the court and finish best on.

● Colbinabbin's A reserve side started strongly against Elmore to head into quarter-time down by one. With the Hoppers defence strong throughout the game, Mardi Ryan starred by gaining much needed intercepts. And while there were several great patches of play, highlighting the Hoppers’ ability to transition from defence, it wasn't enough to counter the Bloods.

● In B grade, Colbinabbin's shooters moved well in the ring together while its midcourt moved the ball down the court nicely.
With a solid performance from defence the Hoppers tried their hardest against the Elmore shooters, who were just not missing.

● Round 17 saw B reserve take on Elmore in a home game on Saturday. Although the Hoppers fell short on the scoreboard, they stuck with it until the end.
Emma Milne and Tahlia Pain battled through a tough assignment in the defensive ring and were still able to get a few turnovers while the rest of the team also put in a really tight defence.

● The under 17s knew it was going to be a tough day out against ladder-leader Elmore, though the side came out looking to play their best netball as a team.
Defenders Zoe McLean and Aggie Minnie fought hard all game, creating excellent pressure and achieving great turnovers.
Down the other end goalers Stella Martin and Alex Duke worked well as a team to create opportunities to score.
Midcourters Ellie Moroney, Jo Brown and Ryllie Edwards had their work cut out against a tight Elmore midcourt but continued to clear centre passes and work hard under pressure.

● Colbinabbin's under 15s put in an incredible effort against an undefeated Elmore, with the Hoppers said to have come the closest to Elmore all season, going within three points at three-quarter-time.
