Corowa Police Sergeant Stephen Marshall continued: “For that reason, and in order to raise more money for ‘our’ cancer hospital (Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer centre), Murray River Police District Superintendent Paul Smith has decided to run the Charity Bowls Day again.”
The second running of the Charity Bowls Day involving Murray River Police and the community will be held on Sunday, September 22 at Howlong Bowls Club at the Howlong Country Golf Club.
“I encourage everyone, it they have the day free to put in a team and join us for the day,” Sergeant Marshall said.
“Lunch will be graciously provided by sponsors Willet Transport and the businesses of Corowa and Howlong have donated a plethora of local vouchers and prizes for a monster raffle.
“If you are on the email list, then we regularly deal with you and value your participation. Please read the flyer below and contact Brad Blanchard from Howlong Golf and Bowls Resort and nominate your team.”
Sergeant Marshall also mentioned “some fantastic prizes and vouchers” to be won.
“Come down buy some raffle tickets, where over $3000 work of prizes will be available to win, kindly donated from businesses in Howlong and Corowa,” he said.
