Barooga has continued its superb start to the Murray Valley Cricket Association season with a memorable win over its fierce rival to remain locked in second spot on the ladder.

The Hawks dominated Cobram and claimed a 93-run victory in Saturday’s round eight action.
Barooga walked away with bragging rights against its cross-border rival thanks to a blistering performance with bat and ball at Cobram Showgrounds.
The visitor piled on 6-200 from 45 overs, with skipper Kale Watkins showcasing his prowess with a game-high 70-run knock.
Watkins’ half-century at the top-of-the-order consisted of a 75-run opening stand alongside fellow opener Jamie Stanyer.
Ben Beaumont provided some fireworks and blasted 58 runs, which included three sixes.
The experience and skill of Shaun Downie was on display for Cobram as he collected 4-40 to be the pick of the bowlers for the host.
Downie (33 runs) was the top-scorer for the Tigers in a futile run chase, one that ended with the home side bundled out for 107 runs.
Barooga will get a chance to inflict more pain on the Tigers when the pair meets on Thursday night for the first round of the MVCA Twenty20 competition.
Elsewhere, Katamatite got back to its winnings ways thanks to some individual brilliance from playing coach Mark Haberfield.
The accomplished bowler turned back the clock with classy figures of 5-16 off five overs as Katty knocked over Finley for 96 runs.
The Boosey Creek Tigers then went about chasing down the total with relative ease.
Opening bat Ben Lucas creamed 46 not-out from 36 deliveries as he smoked six boundaries and sent a hit over the rope.
Katamatite chased down the low total inside 15 overs.
Meanwhile, the competition recognised and celebrated a swathe of competition greats.
The association inducted four new members into its Hall of Fame, while it elevated a member to legend status at a recent gala dinner.

Shane Maddox was elevated to legend status, becoming the third person to do so.
The MVCA Hall of Fame now has three legends and 24 inductees since it commenced in 2010.
