Hyde, a level two accredited coach, will mentor and develop players at Barooga for the coming Murray Valley Cricket Association campaign.
A B-grade premiership player and gun batsman at Barooga, Hyde will also oversee senior training each week.
Incoming club president Sam Leigh was thrilled to have the experienced Hyde back at the Hawks.
“We’re ecstatic to have someone of Graham’s experience and enthusiasm to be involved with our juniors and he’s also going to run his expert eye over the seniors as well each Thursday,” Leigh said.
Leigh said Hyde jumped at the chance to resume his interest in cricket development when the opportunity arose.
Hyde’s return to the club comes after his retirement from education, with the mentor taking up residence again at Barooga.
The former school principal has co-ordinated successful Super 8 tournaments at Barooga, Rand and Corowa.
Hyde has also coached representative sides in a variety of NSW Public Schools Association pathways, in conjunction with Cricket NSW.
Leigh said the club had locked in its junior coaches for the approaching summer.
“Joining Graham, who will be assisted by Jason Stephens with the under-14s, in the BCC junior ranks will be Jono Oliver (under-16), Mick Butler (under-12) and Woolworth’s Junior Blaster co-ordinators will be Jamie Stanyer and Dan Ellis,” he said.
“All prospective players are most welcome to attend these two time slots for a meet the coaches’ morning, COVID-19 permitting.”
