Shane Crawford is back at the helm of Ardmona, bringing plenty of excitement along with him, while former AFL guns Jared Brennan and Daniel Harris will headline Violet Town and Rushworth respectively.
The amount of player movements in the league has made trying to predict where clubs will finish in six months’ time almost harder than trying to pick winning lotto numbers.
All 15 clubs — especially the Towners, Avenel, Stanhope, Girgarre, Undera,Murchison-Toolamba and Dookie United — have welcomed class acts in a bid to strengthen their lists.
Even though deciphering how clubs will fare is a tough task, you can be certain that fans will be treated to one of the tightest and electrifying seasons in recent years.
In the netball ranks, Stanhope has lost members from its remarkable premiers and champions season — most noticeably two-time Warren medallist Chicky Barr.
Avenel and Nagambie will be challenging for the A-grade title and expect a sharp improvement from Shepparton East.
The junior ranks of the league are also set to swell with the addition of under-12 football and under-11 netball competitions, a positive sign for the health of the league moving forward.
