With two wins to its name before the round 10 clash, United defied the odds to defeat previously undefeated and premiership fancy Echuca by seven wickets.
The victory on United's home deck came after a stellar team performance.
After a sublime effort in the field, United was able to chase down Echuca's total of 3-68 with one over to spare.
United coach Steve Williams said he was overjoyed with his side's performance against the competition heavyweight.
“It was a fantastic team effort,” Williams said.
“We've been building (in past matches), the girls have realised their best cricket can beat anyone.
“I was very proud to see all their hard work finally pay off.”
After losing the toss and fielding first, United went to work early with the ball.
Opening quick Bridget Drum (1-14) and Ash Murdoch (0-6) didn't give the visiting team an inch — with Murdoch finishing her spell with two maidens.
And Christina Roberts’ run-out set the tone for United's impressive fielding performance.
Needing 69 to win off 20 overs, it was all down to United's batting.
Dinesha Patabandige (14 not out) and skipper Lia Beecroft (17 not out) were the standouts as United sealed a classic victory.
“Our bowlers were outstanding. All the girls bowled tight areas, around the top of off-stump line,” Williams said.
“Echuca tried to whack us around, but our fielding was superb. Christina Roberts’ run-out removed one of their best batters, that was a highlight of the fielding.
“And then we batted really well, they backed themselves in and got over the line.”
United finishes its season with two home games, this Sunday against Kyabram Fire Brigade and then February 14 against Bamawm-Lockington United.
