Cobram Panel Works Panthers skipper Matt Jaensch was dealt a double blow on Sunday, with the pink Cobram side knocked out of GVBBL title contention and having his fantasy side overtaken by Paul McInnes.
Jedd Wright, Andrew Hogan and Kyle Mueller all failed to fire for fantasy players at the weekend and their misses allowed Jockeys 11 to leapfrog nearly 80 points into first place.
McInnes made the most of marquees’ big-hitting, jumping on Hamish Winter-Irving, Brayden Stepien, Trent Lawford and James Seymour to score a mammoth 440.
Josh Pearce has also jumped into the top two, with his captaincy of Jack Craig a solid choice while Taylor Beard, Todd Murphy and — crucially — Winter-Irving in his side.
Aydin Payne takes back his title leading the News desk from Ron Anderson, with only Andrew Hogan and Josh McDonald not making their marks on his side in a huge score of 445.
Cricket Shepparton president Dave D'Elia had the biggest haul of the weekend with 490 after picking nearly all the top scorers.
