Shepparton United was far too strong for Mansfield in the Goulburn Valley League under-18 competition on Saturday.

The Demons secured a comfortable 11.6 (72) to 2.10 (22) victory at Deakin Reserve.

Jhett Cooper's four goals were a standout on the day, while Damien Pigatto, Wil Norman, Jakob Butcher, Adam Pummeroy and Josh Whitehead also impressed.

Mansfield was well served by Geordie McLennan, Harry Mahoney, Luke Murray, Zac Tanner, Patrick Smith and Jack Cross.
